Prendersi del tempo per diventare grandi e crescere – Taking time to become great and grown up
Passeggiando tra i corridoi della fiera Stockholm Furniture a gennaio, mi sono ritrovata qui: DAQI CONCEPT.
Sono stata rapita dalle forme, dalla luce soffusa e dalla musica delicata che accoglieva con gentilezza le persone nel loro stand.
Sembrava di fare un’escursione nei boschi, ma invece stavo guardando gli uccellini più creativi del momento.
In cinese, il nome DAQI significa proprio “prendersi del tempo per diventare migliori e crescere”, il che sottolinea che le cose migliori della vita richiedono strati di esperienza e decorazioni speciali. Per il brand il design è un processo di continua sperimentazione e revisione, provare e testare, mescolare vecchie idee in nuovi concetti combinando l’artigianato tradizionale alla tecnologia.
La società DAQI CONCEPT INC, è stata fondata nel luglio del 2015, quindi sono giovani un po’ come noi, da un team di designer di prodotto mettendo a frutto le loro competenze e creando così accessori per la casa.
Oggi darò spazio qui e in CHD Gallery a tre loro concept design: JinGoo, Chirp e Bird.
Andiamo a scoprirli uno a uno.
JinGoo è la miscela perfetta di estetica orientale e qualità del suono, creando così un’atmosfera piacevole per qualsiasi spazio, riunendo luce ambientale e autoparlante bluetooth. Marie Claire Maison nel 2017 lo definisce “poetico”.
Davanti ai nostri occhi cosa vedremo mai? Una splendida ma semplice gabbia con un piccolo uccellino all’interno che diffonde la sua luce e grazie alla connessione con il vostro telefonino, la vostra musica preferita.
Il corpo dell'uccello è formato da stampi per la produzione di precisione e cotti in forni tradizionali dai maestri della porcellana. I motivi per alcune specie JinGoo, sono creati da una tecnica chiamata "decalcomania ceramica", che richiede un processo sperimentale esaustivo per garantire che le decorazioni siano conformi alla superficie curva del corpo dell'uccello. Legno e metallo completano i materiali per la produzione.
Chirp invece è una sveglia unica che fonde una tecnologia audio e luminosa con l’artigianato tradizionale. Il suo compito è quello di svegliarti i soavi suoni naturali come il cinguettio degli uccelli o il vento tra le foglie. Nota che puoi anche riprodurre suoni naturali durante il giorno, non solo per svegliarti!
Bird invece cattura la tua attenzione con la sua diffusione della luce, la forma curva e unica dove il suo compito è di proteggerti illuminando l’ambiente, grazie alla sua posizione leggermente inclinata in avanti.
Ogni pezzo è magico e diversi sono i colori e le combinazioni a disposizione.

DAQI ha plasmato la loro forma per cantare, illuminare e svegliare la nostra anima.

Walking through the corridors of the Stockholm Furniture fair in January, I found myself here: DAQI CONCEPT.
I was captivated by the shapes, the soft light and the delicate music that kindly welcomed people to their stand.
It felt like hiking in the woods, but instead I was watching the most creative little birds of the moment.
In Chinese, the name DAQI really means “to take time to become better and grow-up”, which underlines that the best things in life require layers of experience and special decorations. For the brand, design is a process of continuous experimentation and revision, trying and testing, mixing old ideas into new concepts by combining traditional craftsmanship with technology.
The DAQI CONCEPT INC company was founded in July 2015, so they are young a bit like us, by a team of product designers putting their skills to good use and thus creating home accessories.
Today I will give space here and in the CHD Gallery to three of their concept designs: JinGoo, Chirp and Bird.
Let's discover them one by one.
JinGoo is the perfect blend of oriental aesthetics and sound quality, thus creating a pleasant atmosphere for any space, by bringing together ambient light and bluetooth speaker. Marie Claire Maison in 2017 defines it as "poetic".
Before our eyes what will we ever see? A splendid but simple cage with a small bird inside that spreads its light and thanks to the connection with your mobile phone, your favorite music.
The body of the bird is formed from precision manufacturing molds and fired in traditional kilns by porcelain masters. The patterns for some JinGoo species are created by a technique called "ceramic decal", which requires an exhaustive experimental process to ensure that the decorations conform to the curved surface of the bird's body. Wood and metal complete the materials for production.
Chirp, on the other hand, is a unique alarm clock that blends sound and light technology with traditional craftsmanship. Its job is to wake you up with her blessed natural sounds like bird chirping or wind in the leaves. Note that you can play natural sound along the day too, not only to wake you up!
Bird, on the other hand, captures your attention with its diffusion of light, its curved and unique shape where its task is to protect you by illuminating the environment, thanks to its slightly forward-leaning position.
Each piece is magical and there are different colors and combinations available.
