CRISTINA CASTIGLIONI, THE CREATIVE & CURIOUS FORCE BEHIND HER BRAND
“Creativity & curiosity life.” It takes curiosity to give vent to creativity.
I chose this slogan because it reflects my way of giving life to a project.
Curiosity leads me to know the personality of the customer who entrusts me, then transform his desire into an emotional dialogue with the created environment.
It also takes me around the world in search of the missing piece – vases, rugs, various accessories that are of fundamental importance for completing a project.
My Path
I studied to be a surveyor because I always loved to design. Every time I saw a construction site for a new building or a restoration, I stopped to look at it, drawing in my mind as I would have done things.
Working life then led me to different choices. I learned to negotiate, buy raw materials and understand industrial production. Then three years ago an illness stopped me, and after a year of treatment, I learned that in life you have to do what you like if you really want to live it.
So I left everything and I took back what I love: design.
I enrolled in a Master in Interior Design program, to update myself. And I opened my studio armed with strength, will, and passion.
In Design
When I work on a project, I read, travel, and study the world of fashion to understand the geometries, the colors, and the themes that the greatest designers offer.
I like to work on both residential and commercial projects, where you can dare more with your imagination and therefore create a journey with the uniqueness of the environment.
Collaborations & Other Projects
I am a supporter of the union between art and design, and I collaborate with Arte Nel Design, a gallery in the ancient village of Carimate in the province of Como, Italy.
The experience in the industrial sector led me to create my own project: “Tower”.
It is a refrigerator that offers an innovative idea of design, in addition to some technological innovations. I’ve been working on it for a year with mentorship support by Innosuisse, the Swiss agency for the promotion of innovation. Once the project is completed, I’d like to find a brand that wants to work alongside me to make my dream come true: to see it produced!

“Creativity & curiosity life” ci vuole curiosità per dare sfogo alla creatività.
Ho scelto questo slogan perché rispecchia il mio modo di dare vita ad un progetto.
La curiosità mi porta a conoscere la personalità del cliente che si affida a me, trasformando poi il suo desiderio in un dialogo emozionale con l’ambiente creato.
Mi porta anche in giro per il mondo in cerca del pezzo mancante, vasi, tappeti, accessori vari che hanno un’importanza fondamentale per completare un’opera.
Il Mio Cammino
Ho studiato geometra perché ho sempre amato progettare, e ogni volta che vedevo un cantiere che fosse per una nuova costruzione o per un restauro, mi fermavo a guardarlo disegnando nella mia mente come lo avrei fatto io.
La vita lavorativa mi ha poi portato a scelte differenti. Ho imparato a negoziare, comprare materie prime e a capire la produzione industriale. Poi tre anni fa una malattia mi ha fermato, e dopo un anno di cure, ho capito che nella vita bisogna fare quello che piace se vuoi vivertela davvero.
Quindi ho lasciato tutto e ho ripreso quello che amo: progettare.
Mi sono iscritta ad un Master per Interior Design, per aggiornarmi e ho aperto il mio studio armata di forza, volontà e passione.
Progetti
Quando lavoro ad un progetto, leggo, viaggio, curioso nella mondo della moda per capire le geometrie, i colori, i temi che i grandi stilisti propongono.
Mi piace lavorare sia su progetti residenziali che commerciali, dove si può osare di più con l’immaginazione e quindi creare un viaggio con l’unicità dell’ambiente.
Collaborazioni e Altri Progetti
Sono una sostenitrice del connubio tra arte e design, e collaboro con Arte Nel Design, galleria nel borgo antico di Carimate in provincia di Como, Italia.
L’esperienza nel settore industriale mi ha portato a creare un mio progetto: “Tower”.
E’ un frigorifero che propone un’ idea innovativa di disegn, oltre ad alcune innovazioni tecnologiche. Ci sto lavorando da un anno, e sono seguita da Innosuisse, l’agenzia svizzera per la promozione dell’innovazione, che mi supporta attraverso un mentore. Una volta completato il progetto, mi piacerebbe trovare un brand che voglia affiancarmi per realizzare il mio sogno: vederlo prodotto!
