Navigando alla ricerca di quel “qualcosa” o “qualcuno” che potesse regalarmi un sorriso o una piccola emozione, ho trovato entrambi.

Un'ispirazione dalla natura.
Una foglia che sembra intrecciata.
Quando ho visto la “Foglia” o meglio "Leaf", la mente mi ha subito portato in un grande giardino, dove tutto sembra più grande ed io più piccola.
Dove la luce filtra attraverso le foglie degli alberi ed i fiori custodiscono ancora quella goccia di rugiada della mattina.
Sensazione di benessere diffuso e tantissima voglia di sedermici, convinta che chiudendo gli occhi io possa sentire solo il rumore della natura.
Un modello molto elaborato e lavorato in un unico pezzo.

L’ho adorata, tanto da chiedere all’autore di poterne scrivere.
Parliamo di “Gunnar Becker”
Già vent’anni fa sviluppava progetti collaborando con diversi costruttori di negozi, passione trasmessa dall’attività di famiglia nata nel 1925.
Restauratore, decoratore e designer di mobili, cerca deliberatamente nuovi modi e nuove forme con il massimo livello possibile di comfort.
Tutto ciò che disegna e realizza sono prodotti di elevato standard e qualità, trattando anche mobili per tappezzeria su misura e adattandoli al tema che il cliente desidera.
Oggi fonda in Svizzera a Zurigo, una nuova etichetta: Carolus Design, nata per creare quel “qualcosa” che non esiste ancora e che attraverso il suo linguaggio può descrivere il vero design.
Le sue ispirazioni nascono guardandosi intorno, nella natura e non solo.
Due modelli sono già stati registrati e nell’arco di questo 2020 tutto da reinventare, ne usciranno altri sei.
Cosa vede nel suo futuro per continuare a crescere?
La creazione di una piattaforma per giovani designer e studenti talentuosi che avranno la possibilità di presentare i propri progetti, aiutandoli a realizzarli insieme a loro ed in collaborazione con famosi designer.
Non posso che applaudire le sue scelte, il coraggio di perseverare e credere in un mondo che è capace di sorprendere e regalare ancora e ancora.

An inspiration from nature.
A leaf that seems intertwined.
When I saw the "Leaf" the mind immediately took me to a large garden, where everything seems bigger and I smaller, where the light filters through the leaves of the trees and the flowers still hold that drop of morning dew.
Widespread feeling of well-being and a great desire to sit down, convinced me that by closing my eyes I can only hear the sound of nature.
A very elaborate model worked in one piece.

I loved it, so much so that I asked the author to write about it.
Let's talk about "Gunnar Becker"
Already twenty years ago he was developing projects collaborating with various shop builders, a passion transmitted by the family business born in 1925.
Restorer, decorator and furniture designer, he deliberately seeks new ways and new shapes with the highest possible level of comfort.
All that designs and manufactures are products of high standard and quality, also dealing with custom upholstery furniture and adapting them to the theme that the customer wants.
Today he founded a new label in Zurich, Switzerland: Carolus Design, created to create that "something" that does not yet exist and which through its language can describe true design.
His inspirations are born by looking around, in nature and beyond.
Two models have already been registered and within 2020 all to be reinvented, six more will come out.
What do you see in your future to continue growing?
The creation of a platform for talented young designers and students who will have the opportunity to present their projects, helping them to realize them together with them and in collaboration with famous designers.
I can only applaud his choices, the courage to persevere and believe in a world that is capable of surprising and giving again and again.
