Tra gli impegni in Italia a Milano nell’ultima settimana di Maggio, uno mi teneva con il fiato sospeso. Era quello con il mio brand preferito dal perfetto stile eclettico che non poteva mancare anche su CHD Gallery, il nostro eshop. Sto parlando ovviamente di Timothy Oulton.
A ricevermi con la sua impeccabile gentilezza: Stella! Andate a trovarla in Via Pontaccio 19 nel distretto di Brera e salutatemela!
Toccare finalmente con mano alcuni prodotti, che non avevo ancora visto dal vivo, mi ha fatto davvero emozionare. Ho potuto riscontrare quell’eccezionale qualità che vale il prezzo ed il viaggio!
Oltre al design, materiali e finiture sanno trasportarti nel loro mondo e farti sentire in connessione con il messaggio che vogliono trasmettere.
Al fianco degli iconici pezzi, troviamo infatti la collezione Noble Souls definita come “A realm of reconnection” fatta per creare una connessione con i tuoi sensi, con chi ami e con la natura. Tra i prodotti troviamo divani di morbidezza e comfort disarmanti realizzati con coloranti vegetali naturali al 100% che possono essere affiancati da mobili e accessori in materiale naturale.
La tecnica della tessitura utilizzata, che per millenni ha occupato un posto nobile in molte culture, sono tipicamente tramandate di generazione in generazione. Diverse bobine sono combinate in modelli che formano l’ordito del tessuto dando origine ai fili longitudinali.
Questi vengono poi pettinati, organizzati in lunghezze adeguate e poi arrotolati e pronti per essere introdotti nel telaio per la tessitura ben teso onde evitare grovigli.
Timothy Oulton non è un brand convenzionale, ho scoperto un mondo da esplorare: Timothy Oulton Studio.
Tra le realizzazioni “The Chelsea Pig” il primo pub e ristorante a Londra, in fondo alla strada dalla galleria Bluebird, dove all’ultimo piano si trova un appartamento lussuosamente arredato e disponibile per l’affitto notturno. Ma la volontà di espandersi nel mondo dell’hospitality non finisce qui. Infatti alla sua selezione aggiungiamo l’Hotel “Barnsley House”, il pub “The Boot” a The Cotswolds, “The Rose” restaurant e bar a Barbados, il caffè “The Sark Kahvesi” a Istanbul, e “My Lover” un caiacco turco disponibile per il noleggio settimanale.
Dopo tutte queste bellissime notizie qualcuno potrebbe pensare che abbiamo vuotato il sacco, e invece no! Arriva la ciliegina sulla torta: Halodome.
Qui ci sarebbe da scrivere un romanzo. Proverò a zippare le informazioni, per ora.

“Le cupole sono antiche, dagli igloo al Pantheon, l'esperienza al loro interno è viscerale e meravigliosa con un avvolgente senso di calma dalle pareti che si inarcano fino al tetto in un colpo solo. Le cupole possono essere antiche, ma le caverne sono elementari, la più pura essenza di riparo e il più sicuro dei rifugi dal mondo esterno. Halodome dà vita a entrambe queste idee come l'ultimo bozzolo con vista.
L'ultima versione del concetto Halodome di Timothy Oulton Studio è una struttura multiuso completamente prefabbricata di 9 metri con 60 m2 di spazio interno, un enorme arco vetrato e un balcone curvo, il tutto spedibile in qualsiasi parte del mondo.
Ridimensionata per una moltitudine di usi, questa configurazione può funzionare perfettamente come una villa di lusso con ampi spazi per le zone notte, giorno e bagno che sono tutte in grado di ammirare l'ambiente circostante attraverso grandi porte scorrevoli e una parete panoramica in vetro.”
E si, Halodome è una fantastica struttura a cupola che può diventare una suite per un Resort o una seconda casa di lusso, per l’estate, l’inverno o solo per rilassarsi nel luogo che più amate.
È un prefabbricato che può essere spedito in tutto il mondo in container standard. Il diametro di base può essere di 9 metri o di 12 metri. I pannelli di cui è costituita la cupola sono tutti in legno PEFC (Program Endorsement for Forest Certification) e rivestimenti con legno di recupero. L’esterno può essere rivestito in cedro o in acciaio inox 304 e 316 e tutte le specifiche tecniche sono in funzione di un consumo energetico basso.
Ne volete una per l’estate in riva ad un lago svedese?

Among the commitments in Italy in Milan in the last week of May, one kept me in suspense. It was the one with my favorite brand with a perfect eclectic style that couldn't be missing even on CHD Gallery, our eshop. I'm obviously talking about Timothy Oulton.

Finally touching some products with my own hands, which I hadn't seen live yet, made me really excited. I could find that exceptional quality that is worth the price and the trip!
In addition to design, materials and finishes, they know how to transport you into their world and make you feel connected to the message they want to convey.
Alongside the iconic pieces, we find the Noble Souls collection defined as "A realm of reconnection" made to create a connection with your senses, with those you love and with nature. Among the products we find sofas of disarming softness and comfort made with 100% natural vegetable dyes that can be combined with furniture and accessories in natural material.
The weaving techniques used, which have held a noble place in many cultures for millennia, are typically handed down from generation to generation. Several bobbins are combined in patterns which form the warp of the fabric giving rise to the longitudinal threads.
These are then combed, arranged into suitable lengths and then rolled up and ready to be fed into the weaving loom taut to avoid tangling.

The latest iteration of Timothy Oulton Studio's Halodome concept is a 9m fully prefabricated multi-use structure with 60m2 of interior space, a huge glazed archway and a curved balcony, all shippable anywhere in the world.
Scaled for a multitude of uses, this configuration can function perfectly as a luxury villa with generous spaces for the sleeping, living and bathroom areas all of which are able to take in the surroundings through large sliding doors and a panoramic wall of glass. ”
And yes, Halodome is a fantastic domed structure that can become a suite for a resort or a luxury second home, for summer, winter or just to relax in the place you love most.
It is a prefab that can be shipped worldwide in standard containers. The base diameter can be 9 meters or 12 meters. The panels of which the dome is made are all in PEFC wood (Program Endorsement for Forest Certification) and cladding with reclaimed wood. The exterior can be clad in cedar or 304 and 316 stainless steel and all the technical specifications are based on low energy consumption.
