Venite con me! Tutto inizia nel 1860 quando Frette decide di collaborare con gli artigiani più talentuosi con l’obiettivo di creare la miglior biancheria al mondo.
Nel 1862 Edmond Frette apre la sede dell’azienda nel cuore della Brianza a Monza, un vero distretto tessile dei tempi, e continua a costruire solide relazioni.
Già nel 1878 Frette è la prima azienda di biancheria da letto ad adottare il filato damascato “jacquard” vera caratteristica delle sue collezioni. Pensate che ancora oggi i loro telai vengono preparati a mano richiedendo più di una settimana di lavoro perché ogni filo venga posizionato al posto giusto.
Nel 1881 i Savoia scelgono Frette richiedendo la personalizzazione della loro biancheria con il ricamo dello stemma della famiglia reale. Ad incoronare quell’anno, Frette vince la medaglia d’oro all’Esposizione Nazionale di Milano con “La Vega” un elaborato jacquard.
Stampato il primo catalogo, Frette esce dai confini italiani ed è solo il 1886.
Una nota importante da conoscere: nel 1894 realizzano la tovaglia da altare della Vergine Maria per l’altare della Basilica di San Pietro a Roma.
Siamo nel 1899 e facciamo un salto a Venezia!
L’Hotel Danieli commissiona a Frette le loro lenzuola per le camere dell’albergo, e poi via a seguire in giro per il mondo, altri hotel di lusso come The Ritz-Carlton a Parigi, The Savoy a Londra, The Plaza a New York e The Peninsula di Hong Kong richiedono le loro fantastiche collezioni.
Nel 1903 arriva il brevetto per il processo di finissaggio che rende unici i tessuti al tatto e allo sguardo.
Gli anni passano ed il loro successo continua a crescere e a diversificarsi. Infatti, nel 1999 creano la nuova collezione prêt-à-porter di abbigliamento da casa: Frette to Wear. Qui, le sapienti mani, creano una prestigiosa linea utilizzando sete, cashmere, cotone e cuoio dei più pregiati.
Siamo già arrivati nel 2017 dove l’iconico motivo Chains viene ridisegnato rimanendo un emblema intramontabile di Frette ancora oggi.
I loro pattern classici e moderni decorano e arredano con un’eleganza senza tempo, qualsiasi spazio abitativo come residenze private, alberghi, navi da crociera, linee aeree, ristoranti e centri benessere più lussuosi al mondo.

Every page you turn of their book is a discovery of impeccable quality, style and love for making luxury linens.
Come with me! It all began in 1860 when Frette decided to collaborate with the most talented artisans with the aim of creating the best linen in the world.
In 1862 Edmond Frette opened the company headquarters in the heart of Brianza in Monza, a real textile district of the time, and continued to build solid relationships.
As early as 1878 Frette was the first bed linen company to adopt the "jacquard" damask yarn, a true characterizing element of its collections. Think that even today their looms are prepared by hand requiring more than a week of work for each thread to be placed in the right place.
In 1881 the Savoy chose Frette requesting the personalization of their linen with the embroidery of the royal family crest. To crown that year, Frette won the gold medal at the National Exhibition in Milan with "La Vega", an elaborate jacquard.
The first printed catalog, Frette leaves the Italian borders and it is only 1886.
An important note to know: in 1894 they made the tablecloth of the Virgin Mary for the altar of St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

The Hotel Danieli commissions Frette to make the sheets for the hotel rooms, and then other luxury hotels around the world such as The Ritz-Carlton in Paris, The Savoy in London, The Plaza in New York and The Peninsula in Hong Kong are in demand for their fantastic collections.
In 1903 comes the patent of the finishing process which makes the fabrics unique to the touch and appearance.
Years go by and their success continues to grow and diversify. In 1999, in fact, they created the new prêt-à-porter homewear collection: Frette to Wear. Here, expert hands create a prestigious line using the finest silks, cashmere, cotton and leather.
We have already reached 2017 where the iconic Chains motif is redesigned, still remaining a timeless emblem of Frette today.
